Fresh off of burning a bunch of Lebron James jerseys, I bring you today’s picture of the day. Today we feature Connie Sledge. Connie was a great all around athlete that competed in the sprints and jumps at Douglass High School, winning a Long Jump State title. Sledge chose to attend Langston university to play football and compete for the track team. While at Langston Connie, who was a Quarterback for the football team, took up the Javelin and found yet another thing he was very good at. Sledge had a career best of 207’8″. He is pictured in High School.
